Just remembering... (and wondering)...

5 years ago on this exact date (and day of the week) DH and I went on our first date. Obviously it was our last first date! lol

Next Friday would be our 5th year together. Do you still celebrate your dating anniversary? lol. No so much with gifts or something of that nature, but just recognizing it with each other?

We acknowledge and celebrate our dating anniversary because we got married on our 5 yr anniversary.

It is four days after our wedding anniversary. We will probably go out to eat or something! I love that anniversary and I celebrated it for NINE years I never want to give that up!

We will actually be together for 11 years tomorrow! It was the day we first met face-to-face and the day we became a couple (we just knew right away). We're still celebrating with a nice quiet dinner out and cards to one another.

We actually just had our 8 year dating anniversary on 12/10! we still acknowledge it, but we don't exchange gifts or anything. Even though we have our wedding anniversary now, I still think of the day we started dating as special. Plus we got engaged on our 5 year anniversary of dating, so that makes it extra special.

Yes, we do. Our 7 year dating anniversary was a few days before the wedding so we went out to dinner. Nothing fancy, no gifts but we still recognize it.

Same here. We might go out to eat (or use it as an excuse to :), but we consider our new 'real' anniversary is our wedding date now.

Even before we got married we never exchanged gifts or anything for our dating anniversary, but we always acknowledge it... usually by going out to a nice dinner. We will be together 5 years in Feb so I'm sure we'll still go to dinner that night.

yeah we celebrate, maybe not necessarily going all out but we will continue to do so. Even if its a nice special dinner at home. However, its right after v-day and right after my bday and his so maybe we'll just start doing a big combo of all these things. A bday/vday/anniversary celebrationg, i am trying to think of a nickname for it lol

We got married the same weekend as our dating anniversary so we'll be celebrating both at the same time I guess. We totally forgot about our 6 year anniversary this year b/c we had our post-wedding brunch that day- we didn't even remember to acknowledge it until a few days later - lol! We will probably try to take our yearly vacation that week each year in recognition of both important dates!

Well ours is also DH's birthday so we cant forget it We never really had an official date..but on his 21st birthday someone asked me if I was single and DH told him no so we use that day

EXACTLY what happened this Friday. I mentioned it once and it was my facebook status but from DH - zip! I'm going to be a little hurt if he doesn't acknowledge our dating anny this Friday coming up.
