Just venting.........

My BIL got engaged a couple of weeks ago and I'm sure you all remember how EXCITED I was for them. Well, they were looking at JUNE/JULY to have thier wedding....actually, mainly July. Anyhow, they ended up picking the date of May 17......

Why am I mad? Because while they were in the process of picking thier date, I've been talking to her about when DH and I were booking our honeymoon/1 year anniversary trip.....and I told her that it's good they were looking in JUNE/JULY because we're in the process of booking our trip for the second week of May and will be gone for 10 days.......so JUNE/JULY would be good so we could be there to help them out with last minute stuf.........

So now we have to go back to our travel agent to get other dates......I'm just annoyed because they weren't even looking at that month....then all of a sudden, they have a date, in the second week of May....of ALL dates.......UGH!

ugh, i'm so sorry!!
at least you didn't book the tickets yet, right? how set are they on may 17th? Maybe they'll switch again? I think you should sit them down and tell them what dates you'll be out on your vacation and make it a matter of fact. Then hope that they get it and try to pick a better date for everyone. I'm sure BIL wants his brother to be there....they should take your HM into consideration.

The've already booked the country club and the church. They did it last week. My DH is part of the wedding.....So they won't be switching their date. We have to switch ours. I'm just so bothered by this. Maybe I shouldn't be?? I don't konw.

Ugh... that would piss me off too... Don't sweat it.. You can go on your trip right after they get married.. (As long as you aren't going to the same place!!! Now THAT would be really irritating!!!)

It's ok that it bothers you. Some people have tunnel vision when it comes to wedding and other events....what can you do. Now you know that they def wont be switching their date so go ahead and plan your HM and don't worry about anyone else. You're going to have an awesome time whenever you go - you're going to be celebrating your one year of marriage with your hubby
