Can you believe we're married almost a year already!?! Any special plans to celebrate?? i.e. *Mohonk*???

Gimme an update!!

Hi Kathi!!

Saw you posting on the 'other side' and did have every intention on making my way back over to this side! You've all been in my thoughts, and I do check in here from time to time, though not with consistency. The other night, my husband was questioning why I keep coming back here, if I wanted to get married again! Hard to believe a year has gone by, and even harder still to believe I do somewhat miss the planning .. even after all this time. Am I the only one??

Gotta say the first year has not been easy .. not because of marriage problems, but because of other BS that just never seems to get solved. It's been constant, and a true waste of my time having to badger these companies into doing their job of resolving problems that they have created for us!

So, that's been part of the reason I haven't been posting much, and I've also been on the road with work the past several weeks .. just like last year! No 3rd job yet, though I have been trying to figure out a way I can get back into teaching horseback riding on my 2-job schedule.

Time just keeps passing so quickly .. almost feels like each day goes faster than the one before it. And believe me, I was just thinking the other day about how your 1st anniversary is coming right behind ours! As for our plans .. how did you guess?! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they give us the same room, which we requested. We figured if that's all we do each year, travel-wise, we'd love it. My husband has never asked to go back to any place .. not a restaurant, not a recreational place, nothing .. except this! So, even though it is pricey .. if it's all we do, and we do 2 nights, I think it justifies itself. That's my thinking anyway. And, I'm such a sucker for reliving memories!

Please, bring me up to date on your life. I hope everything's going well for you!

Hi Kel! Long time no 'see'! Welcome back!!

Thanks! You know one of the things on my 'to-do' list was to say how great your pictures are on the enchante spot here. Speaking of which, I really, really need a haircut desperately!!

Good to hear that you're well!! I had a *feeling* you'd be going to Mohonk... hehe. That would be great if you could get there each anniversary. Very nice tradition!! Sorry that you're having so much trouble with those darn businesses that don't believe in the mantra that the 'customer is always right'!!

Here's a brief update of the major stuff happening in our lives...

* My new nephew is due any minute!!! His EDD is next Tuesday, but my sister's 'feeling the signs'. We couldn't be more excited!!!

* We found our house in March, signed the contract in April and we're FINALLY closing in November!!! Argh!! Why we agreed to this, I'll never know!! Fortunately, interest rates have gone down and we've been able to save more $$$ over the past 6 months!!

* I joined Weight Watchers on Feb. 25th and I've lost almost 60 pounds!! YAY!!

* We're going to Montauk Manor for 3 days for our Anniversary - verrrrrrry excited about that!!!

* We've been TTC for a few month's now...trying not to get discouraged. Maybe the baby dust will make it's way to us when my new nephew gets here!!

Other than that, we're shopping for bedroom furniture, and other assorted stuff for our house (in Seaford, BTW) and completely enjoying married life!! I absolutely love being married!!

That is all so exciting!! Congratulations on everything!! And I wish you the best in the baby department! It always boggles my mind that when people are not ready for kids, we try to be so careful, wearing this and/or taking that, but yet when people are ready, it can sometimes seem so difficult. But, I guess that's life, sometimes .. not fair. I still have the same email .. [email protected] .. feel free to use it anytime!
