How's the job search going? Just checking in to see how you're doing...hope you had a nice weekend. :)
Thanks for asking. The job hunt has been slow around the Labor Day weekend but I'm expecting more to happen soon. I'm told that Sept. / Oct. are better times to job hunt. We're off to AZ for my nieces first birthday this week and I've been trying to set up an interview there, but I'm not sure it's going to happen - it's a new position and they haven't been too responsive. Too bad - it's with an Ice Cream company :-) I'm still hoping!
Last weekend was great - we went to a country wedding in VT. My cousin lost his wife to cancer a few years ago and so we were all happy to see him find someone else that could make him happy and his two little boys are so happy to have a new mom. The wedding was so different than the typical LI wedding. She's a Baptist, so there was no drinking or dancing. The afternoon reception was at the Grange Hall and all the food was brought by friends and family. A friend of hers did all the reception flowers - garden flowers like Dahlias, Gladiolas, Sunflowers, etc. in mason jars wrapped with tulle and pearl roping - her friend went around to all the neighbors asking for cuttings from the garden!!! It was a great time - just goes to show that it is possible to do a nice wedding reception for 100 people for less than a five-figure cost.
Keep your fingers crossed that I come back from AZ with a job offer!
