I have no tricks for you but I have to tell you I hate that too. I remember in highschool, I had boots like that I and I used rubber bands but they were the type that had a flap that you could hide the rubber band under.

Do you have skinny calves?? what about wearing a thicker socks??? Mine slip just a little but that's expected, don't tell me they fall all the way to your ankles

I'm the opposite, my calves are muscular from running.. so anytime I go up steps I get choked.

I don't have that problem either - my calves are average size, but both pairs of boots I have stay up on their own. The leather is thick though - so they'd stand up on their own anyway!

Can you attach a stretchy rubberband kind of fabric to them, on the inside? Kind of like, you know when you get the zipper boots, and there is that little stretchy fabric triangle to provide for stretching at the calves? Its should be similar material as the guy's boxers bands? Does that make sense? Then, once you pull it up, it should be a little bit tight, and should stay up.

As a sidenote, I also have skinny calves, even though I exercise, and my solution was getting the 2/3 length zip up boots (b/c I am petite too), so where on a normal person, the put ends below the calf, mine goes up to like half of the calf. Does that make sense? All the zipperless boots fall off of me, so I never bothered buying them.
