We bought a new house and are closing next week. Wondering if any of you guys have suggestions for keeping everything organized in terms of bills etc. Budgets etc. Let me know if you are using any type of softaware you'd recommend.

Re: Keeping house bills/budget in check??
Im an accountant so really i have it all(our expenses etc) in my head but if i were u i would create a spreadsheet on excel & put your monthly budget in & record all expenses & credits. That way you can keep track.

My mom uses Quickbooks, DH's family does to but they run a home business. I would love to get us organized with something like that, but for now DH is really supporting us so he just does it all.

Re: Keeping house bills/budget in check??
this is my job, although i have been slacking on organization. i have developed a (hopefully) foolproof system, which involves a spreadsheet, a calendar and a tight budget!
if you want to see my model, i will email you it, bc it is all on my computer!
but, i really am no expert or professional when it comes to budgets. i actually slacked off to the point where VW called and told me they were going to come take my car bc i didn't make three payments (totally a clerical error on my part, but i was sobbing over the phone to the VW man, then im thinking im sure every person who defaults on their car loans sounds like me! btw, in case anyone was wondering, it is all taken care of)
