Kill him with kindness, or just kill him?

Kill him with kindness, or just kill him?

I got into a little argument with DH yesterday and I really didn't feel like doing anything for him.

So, when you guys are fighting do you go on strike from things you would normally do ( I don't mean sex I mean household stuff, LOL ) or can you be an adult and still do your normal stuff?

I do the normal stuff just to piss him off... NOT doing those things would give him fodder.

When we argue, I don;t put off anything doing anything in the house because it is me who will suffer when it's time to clean again after our fight.

I just don't speak to him & give him the silent treatment... mature, i know but when he really pisses me off & upsets me I usually can't stand to look or speak to him for a little while.

Depends on how abd the argument is but if its minor I'd just go along my merry way because if I focus too much on being angry at him, it lasts alot longer and then my stomach issues start. For my own sanity I usually try and be normal.

Yeah, at first I just did MY stuff. We are nerds and prepare everything for the morning and whoever does it will do it for both ( except for laying out clothes and stuff like that LOL ).

So first I set up all MY stuff for the morning. Then I set up HIS stuff because I just couldn't do it.

THEN, I put it away and set it up about two more times before just leaving it set up. Today I was supposed to make a big dinner for us and I was thinking how much I don't want to but I will, I know I will.

I was SOOOOO Mature yesterday. We fought over something stupid and he said something like 'ok this discussion is DONE.' Yeah well, I turned around and kept calling him Daddy and asking if it was okay for me to get up from my chair and stuff. But I did it for a really long time LOL I woke up this morning realizing how annoying I was. Oops.

awwww... fights that are petty will happen especially when you are living in a small space.
It's just up to you two to make sure it ends quickly b/c it's not worth turing it into a bigger fight. I say continue & make your nice dinner.

i just avoid him - don't talk to him and give him dirty looks. Typically he realizes I am mad at him very quickly and he tries to make up for it.

I tend to do the dishes when I'm angry. Calms me down, but I refuse to make dinner. He can starve or cook it himself when we are fighting. and I will starve just to spite him ;)

I continue to do the normal stuff but I slam things around while I do it lol. And its hilarious that you call him DADDY! I do that too when Im pissed. Im like, 'Is this okay, dad?'

When DH and I are arguing, we give each other the silent treatment for a while.....then one of us usually gives in and hugs the other The way we see it, arguing about everyday nonsense is so small in the grand scheme of things. We don't want to waste the time we have together being mad at each other.

depends..if its a silly fight which 99% of them are in our household, one of us swallows our pride and attempts to squash it and we hug and make up and whatnot. i never protest doing normal stuff around the house though. our fights don't last long for one. and sometimes thats a good opportunity to leave the room to get away from the other person/argument and do something while you calm down.

I remember once thinking about holding out on my usual household stuff but then I realized how I wouldn't want him to do that to me, and that it's really rather immature. So I continue to do my thing, he continues to do his, and eventually we make up like adults.

throw him down the stairs.

I make DH do his own shiiit if he acts like a child

I usually boycott dinner. Let him fend for himself - I Ignore his @ss and start cleaning like crazy when I am mad I get soo anxious! Than when I finally get to point where the silence now pisses me off and the house is spotless than I decide to let him know all about himself

Than we make up b/c - ' Never let the Sun go down on your wrath'

I don't do his laundry anyway and he does the dishes (his stress reliever)

I usually hold back on making him dinner. I know its immature, but I like not having to cook dinner once in awhile.

The way he or I react(s) would depends on the argument. I will give him the silent treatment, read, clean dishes (I find this extremely calming), take a shower, go for a walk or drive, vent to a girlfriend, or smoke a cig. He will throw around nasty looks, raise his voice, leave the room, or ignore me.
