Ditto. But he can't even do that right, so I always end up re-doing it

ETA: but to make my cleaning duties easier, I like to open the windows, turn on the ceiling fans, and blast my 80's rock music

I usually like talking on the phone when I clean - it actually makes it easier.

Re: KITCHEN cleaning

Honestly, I'm the same way - great with cooking but I hate to clean (though I don't mind cleaning in the kitchen).

I find that as I'm cooking, when I have a free minute or two, I'll put away ingredients that I no longer need, wash some dishes/utensils that I've used in the cooking process, and wipe down the counters. A Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is my best friend! Also, since you don't want a bunch of chemicals sprayed in the kitchen while you're cooking, you can use a cloth or sponge with straight-up, undiluted white distilled vinegar on the counters/tabletops, instead of spraying chemicals. It's mad cheap (like 80 cents a bottle!) and eco-friendly.

DH cooks 95% of the time, so cleaning the kitchen is my job. I get on his case for making such a mess all the time. I have cooked on occassion & I never make as big a mess as he does. I think he does it on purpose to keep me busy.

im so anal with keeping the kitchen clean. i wipe everything down with lysol b4 i start cooking. while the food is cooking, i clean up. the food tastes better when the kitchen is clean

hmmm... how to speed it up??
take a glass..clean or dirty in the sink.. and use it for all the dirty utensils. when ur done using them when ur cooking just put them in there until youre ready to laod the dishwasher.
keep the trash can by the sink, so u dont have to walk across the kitchen wetting the floor. keep paper towels next to the counter and wipe down as often as possible.

you'll get the hang of it.
