Re: LADIES HELP!
I have no personal experience with rhinestones, but I have heard where sales people tell brides this to encourage the sale of crystal headpieces.
Did you ask this question on the vendor board? I am sure the photographers will know.

Re: LADIES HELP!
Actually I have seen veils with rhinestones look black IN PERSON! (I was about to go tell a bride she had something caught in her veil until I realized it was a rhinestone).
I would guess profesionally photographers can make the front of the rhinestone look right but if the veil gets caught in the wind or turned around - nothing short of digital fixing of the photos is going to correct the BACK of the decoration (where it gets glued/sewn onto the veil) from looking like black spot.

I responded to this post on the bhb board .... I had rhinestones ... and no black spots. Honestly, if your bridal shop is reputable, they should not let you leave the shop with less than perfect rhinestones on your veil. Just make sure that you check it carefully when it comes in. Then the pics should be fine!
