Ladies who already did their video???????

When they say you need songs for the video....what did you guys use???

Like I love our wedding song but wouldn't that be in the footage already?

Maybe this is a stupid question, but I figured if I could ask it anywhere it would be on here.

Yeah that's what they are saying to me too...but what kind of songs??? I guess I'm confused b/c isn't there music from the wedding that would be on the video (like wedding march, our 1st dance, the reception) Like what are the songs for in the video??? I have NO CLUE

We received our wedding video a day ago. You need to give them songs because for example the videographer use the songs for background cover of the cocktail hr, when you taking the pictures with the bridal party or at the beginning for your baby pictures or for your honeymoon pictures. They cover these parts with songs, you wont' hear ppl at your wedding talking during these times. Hope I explain myself clear. Sorry I try my best !

I use Duet also for my wedding. This is how they separate the video for the edited version.

This was our pick:

Getting Ready: 'Speechless' The Veronicas
Formal: 'This I Swear' Nick Lachey
Wedding Highlights: 'Stolen' Dashboard Confessional
Childhood/Dating: First Time Lifehuse
Honeymoon: Upside Down Jack Johnson

I also chosed the song, 'Everythng' Lifehouse for our ceremony. Our first dance was to 'Ever The Same' Rob Thomas.

You only need to pick 3 songs. The first song is for the Getting Ready part (this is for us ladies so you can pick whatever song you feel is appropriate and goes with. I think something slow and sentimental works the best for this part), Formal (formal portraits of DH & yourself, family, friends, etc.), and Wedding Highlights (highlight of the whole day). If you have photo montage with your contract, it includes childhood/dating photos of yourself and DH, you would need to pick out a song for that as well. Hope that helps. We picked two songs we considered using for our first dance song but didn't use - Jack Johnson's Better Together and ... I forgot the other one. I know it's a Billy Joel song that Kris Allen did a cover of... ohh this is going to bother me... I'll edit this when I remember.

with glenmar they used a song in the begining for our baby pictures and pictures together, and then we picked a song for the recap...

we used out wedding song for the begining and then the song from the princess bride for the recap

all the stuff in the middle was the actual sound from the day with a few added musical tid bits

In the beginning of the Video where they show montage of us growing up we used 'Time in a Bottle'

For arriving at the church it was 'Chapel Of Love'

Then there was lovely instrumental music before the reception.

For the Ending with the Highlights we used 'Everything I do, I do it for you'

Everytime I hear these songs I can see my video!!
