large photo albums for proofs...

large photo albums for proofs...

for 4x6' proofs... our photog gave us 1200 proofs in boxes and I'm trying to organize them before they get all ruined with everybody wanting to see them and get their grubby hands all over them lol

what did you use? where did you get your albums? I'm having a hard time finding something... just looking for regular photo albums nothing fancy... not looking to spend alot either

DH went to Michael's and got some basic albums. He got 2 of the same that have a gingham pattern on them. You could also try Target for reasonably priced albums.

I didn't know they sold big albums... I tried looking at Michael's but didn't see any that hold that amount of pictures... looking for albums that hold like 400 or 500 pictures so I can have less clutter lol... I'll have to look again... Thanks!

We had about 400 photos and we used 2 of the same photo albums. They are pretty thick. I haven't really found any that hold 400 in one book. Good luck on your search!

we had 1000 proofs and got a 'set' of the same style in Michael's in various colors that were acid free, archival to keep proofs safe. but only found books that hold 200, so have 5 of them - - but it is easier to look at. they have a cutout in front so I put a pic typical of contents so I could easily tell which book it was - - getting ready, ceremony, CH etc.

I actually got 2 books that hold 500 pics each from Amazing Savings for like 5$ each!! Nothing fancy, but it worked out perfect for my 900+ pics.

our photographer gave us two big albums holding the best 650 proofs...

the rest were in two boxes..

but i'd definetly try michaels...or even a cvs/rite-aid/duane reade, etc. they usually have a decent selection of albums in their photo section.. good luck!

My photgrapher gave me a leather photoalbum that held all 837 proofs. Bu I would def check out Michaels or AC Moore.

I went to Target and got 4 albums that held 200 photo's each. Each album was about $10.00. But It's worth it, because like you I didn't want fingerprints and god knows what else on them.

I purchased 4 photo albums that hold 216 photos 6 per page from Crate& Barrel.

Bed Bath & Beyond has albums that hold 432 pictures but 4 per page and I used that one for my HM pictures.

I saw some in Paper Presentation that held about 200 or 250 but what I liked was that there were 4 or 5 pictures per page and some where landscape and some portrait, makes it easier to view them. I'd love to find somethign like that which holds about 500 pictures and that aren't ridiculously expensive. I found some on amazon.com that hold 500 but I dont know what the layout of pictures inside is like. I might buy one just to see if I like it. I also have about 800 pictuers from the honeymoon too!

Your photogrpaher should ahve put them in an album for you. Everyone DH and I met with before we booked included them in an album. Maybe they messed up- you should ask thembefore you go out buying them...
