HAHA! I know exactly what you mean about the people who lived in your house before you! I don't think our house had seen a change in anything since before 1970.
Before you know it it will look gorgeous! We have people we don't know who have stopped us when we are outside just to Thank us for doing something with the house... I always say thank you, and then wonder if I should tell them that we bought it from my dad

The neighbors told us we did more in 2 weeks than the other people ever did. Dh trimmed the hedge and the woman next door thanked him. Did your dad live in the house or rent it out?

He lived there for a little bit (2 years) and then when my grandma died he moved into her house to fix it up and sell it. At that time he rented it to DH and I. After renting for over a year and a half, we finally bought it.

When he comes over tell the neighbors the previous owner is weird and is always stopping over for house tours. he is really attached to the house They will love some gossip. I hope you used the lack of upkeep to your advantage and got a good price
