I had a sad day......

We visited a friend of ours who is in the hospital. He has a VERY bad staf (sp?)infection in his arm and the Infectious Disease doctor and the Orthopedic Specialist said worse case scenerio.....amputation So we are hoping and praying for the best He's already been on 8 types of antibiotics.....it's horrible.........

I will Keep your Friend in my Prayers..I am sure he is on ALL the RIght Anbotics for the Staph Infection

i made vanilla cupcakes with buttercream frosting for steve's birthday tomorrow...

let's just say that i basically liked the whole kitchenaid mixer clean after making the frosting... and now i'm feeling just lovely! haha

OMG! LOVE buttercream icing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is going to love you EXTRA tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

haha well we ate them tonite, since tomorrow we're going out for dinner and i KNOW he's gonna order the molten cake!!

he was so cute.... he wasn't going to have any cupcakes because he was headed to jiu jitsu soon -- so then he said he'd just have a bite of one...

next thing i know.... THREE cupcakes are missing! hmmm, i wonder where they wentttt

oh my goodness... how does that happen??

The doctors don't know. Apparently this infection has eaten through some tissues already and has started to eat through his muscle. It's just above his elbow He had surgery today to remove the bursa (sp?) sac from his elbow and joint area today......hoping that it would stop some of the infection......

SO do we. We were at the hospital until 11 this evening and he's hooked up to soooooo many things......ugh! So sad. His wife has slept at the hospital for th past 4 nights.......

yesss.... do it!

it was the first time i've used it, and it made the whole process so easy! plus, i had never made frosting from scratch before -- but it was so easy!

i can give you the frosting recipe if you want!

I hope it does what its supposed to do, and i hope he isnt in pain-Ill keep him in my thoughts extra over the next few days

YES -- i'm starting my first real job as a speech pathologist! i am excitedddd, but also sad to end the summer!
