Laundry

Ok so who does DH's laundry and do you ever go nuts doing it?

I do the laundry every week, so yesterday I go to do his darks and he had 3 pairs of jeans... 3 pairs, in the summer when he is mostly wearing shorts? What does he wear them for an hour and throw them in. Also how can there be 13 undershirts in 7 days. Its getting infuriating.

I cant complain... DH does all the laundry... and folds every piece... he loves doing the laundry... very strange..

I used to bring the baskets up but since I got preggo he wont let me walk upstairs to the machines! He has ALOT more clothes than me since he changes three times a day with his work clothes/home clothes/ pajamas/undies so he really doesnt mind...

Can you ask him to do his laundry and you do yours?

Re: Laundry

I do all our clothing (MIL does our towels but hey, it saves us time, so I don't get proud), and DH is the same way...we do it once a week, and I don't understand how there can be like 15 pairs of boxers in there. I must have like really poor hygiene or something, because it's like 4:1 DH's clothing to my clothing in each weeks load.

i do the laundry- wash, iron and put it away. It gets annoying however he is always always CRISP and i love that he looks neat!

Re: Laundry

I do all the laundry and buy all the clothes. I forget how fast he goes through undershirts sometimes and am often rushing to do whites, but it's going ok.

For the longest time, I was doing our laundry separately because he didn't like the way my detergent smelled and I loved it, but ever since I got PG, I can't stand my detergent, so I can do it all together again. Little things I suppose.

I have no idea how boys make so much laundry!!! Best thing I ever did was get a combo of white and colorful boxers for DH, though -- that way even if I don't do whites, he's got clean underwear!

I wouldn't do that since I really don't work full time and he is killing himself. But I did suggest last night that he wear jeans more then once unless they are really dirty.

I think he packs for CT, comes home and unpacks into the hamper regardless of whether he wore it or not.

I can't complain - DH does about 99% of the laundry! The only thing he doesn't do are my bras, etc. - he said he doesn't want to get yelled at for not doing them right!

Re: Laundry

I do the laundry once a week. The first week we lived together I washed 7 pairs of jeans. Thats right he wore a different pair everyday. I almost killed him. I learned what to do to fix the problem. My DH has seriously 30 pairs of jeans so I tell him that after he wears his jeans to leave them in a specific basket. When its laundry sorting time I look at the pants & ask him what he did the day he wore them. Some get washed & others get folded back into the closet.

I am not washing a pair of jeans that he wors for 20 minutes walking to the store.

He does his own laundry, i do mine. I wash towels and sheets. It's annoying because we have a quarter machine in our apartment and it's down three flights of stairs. Sometimes he does mine if I'm not feeling well. He even knows what doesn't get dried.

oh my DH does like 90% of the laundry too. . though i fold my own. . I think I actually have more laundry bc of all of my workout clothes!! but he does them no compaining. . of course due to poor Dh still looking for a job - he's home way more with free time so we'll prob switch things when he works and hopefully i work LESS!!

I do all of the laundry and doing DH’s KILLS me… I def have to do about 5 loads a week. For two people I think that’s a little ridiculous.

Thats a good excuse... wish I coulda used that on DH a long time ago

As for me, its mostly me that does the wash... DH helps fold sometimes, but at least he always will carry it back upstairs for me ... We have about an equal amt of clothes so no complaints there

UGGG I hate doing Ant's work clothes and thats not doing his uniforms. Im doing the shirts underneath and his socks. Thanks God he has enough for a month .
He doesnt have much during the week because he waers a uniform to work and will throw the same clothes on afterwards a few days in a row cause its for a few hours.

Re: Laundry

We both do the laundry but DH always has more dirty clothes than I do but it is because he showers and changes after work which I am thankful for Although in the winter it gets crazy- DH wears tons of layers to stay warm at work and it is almost impossible to keep up with.
