I remember awhile back you were looking for a place to have your mom's birthday party (I think). Did you find a place? Would you mind letting me know where and what other place you came across during your search?
I'll be looking soon for a place to have my husband's (WOOHOO!!) surprise 40th and I REALLY need to keep the $$$ to a minimum! Do you think $20 a person unrealistic if I provide the liquor (if I rent a hall) and cake?? I'd definitely do a nice VFW hall or something like that...
I appreciate any advice/tips!
Thanks!!
:)

EEK...my grammar stinks in that one...
Sorry, but I just re-read what I hastily typed. How many times can you say 'place'!?!
Yikes!

Laura...
Ugh it was crazy-- I found a great caterer (Long BEach/Oceanside Area) who we have used for 3 different kinds of parties and he was great-- he can def do something amazing for that price range--the problem was finding a place--it is def much cheaper to find a VFW/Knights of columbus/ firehouse, etc--
we ended up deciding on a brunch-- about $26 a person any number-- for us this is easier cause then we dont have to worry about DJ costs, decorating, etc--
the only thing we have to get is a cake-- which i would have done anyway--
here is the caterer- he will email or regular mail you info as well

hope this helps
