DH and I will be taking our moms to brunch like we do every year, but, like we are every year, we have no idea what kind of nice presents to get them! Any ideas?
(PS - they STILL haven't used their Spa Finders GCs we gave them for the wedding! So avoiding anything spa-related!)

I'm of no use - I'm getting my mom a Disney gift card that she can use while we're down there at the end of May. I put one in her easter basket (yes, I make my mom and easter basket) and it was a HUUUUUGE hit.
DH's mom - that's his responsibility - I don't get involved after I was told 2 years ago that the flowers we sent were 'useless' and a 'waste of money.'

It used to bother me - now I just laugh it off!! I really think there should have been a superlative at the luncheon for worst MIL though - I KNOW I'd win that!

No idea. My mom is a PITA. She doesn't like spas, she has more candles and knick knacks that she has room for, she doesn't like to go out on holidays due to the crowds, and flowers die. Ugh.
I'm assuming we're probably going to go to church that sunday so we'll see my MIL then, then maybe go to my parents house for dessert or something? I don't know what we'll do for MIL either. Bah.

We opted out of albums from the photographer...cause i wanted to make them myself (and save money). Sooo I finally made a photobook for both mommy & MIL.
I'll probably get them flowers or something in addition...

I wish I knew! My mom is the hardest person to shop for, she has everything, wants nothing and doesn't like spas, candles, etc.
I might just get her a really pretty plant (like an orchid) and the same for my MIL -- and then we'll spend half the day with my mom and half with my MIL.

I wanted to get my mom a new Coach bag but she got wind of it and told me don't waste money! She's so ridiculously frugal! So I guess I'll just go clothes shopping with her and buy her what she wants.

We got my mom the vera bradley baby bag she wanted! She will be taking care of jelly bean when I go back to work and I wanted her to be a hip Mumsy!

I'm still not sure what to get her. I was thinking of getting her a massage gift certificate because I got her one last year ( a mother daughter one to make sure she went!) and she loved it so that's still on the table. I also just got an email from the Melting Pot about their Mother's Day special and I think she would enjoy that, but I know my dad will not go. We also usually do brunch with DH's mom so the Melting Pot thing might not work out.

I don't know what I'm getting my mom just yet. Probably something sentimental. She lives down in Florida so luckily DH and I will be there for Mother's Day.
DH and is buying a gift and a card for his mom and he's signing my name to it. I would have normally gotten a MIL card for mother's day but since they pretty much say 'thank you for welcoming me into the family', etc.....that would be a complete LIE. She *****.
