quick little info...if it's a good school district taxes are usually higher. Sometimes you can get lucky and live in one town and get the lower taxes but go to the better school. For example...if you really want your child to go to miller place ( which is a great district but the taxes are HIGH) you may be able to find something in rocky point that has lower taxes but is still in the MP school district. So look at the surrounding neighborhoods as well. HTH!

Along the same lines... Northport/East Northport is a great district. It has extraordinarily low taxes when compared to other neighboring districts, like Harborfields. But - this is kind of a secret, that I am sharing with you, okay? Don't tell anyone!

I grew up in NHP and went to the public schools there. Sewanhaka Central HS District always had award winning schools [this covers NHP, FS and FP.] In Floral Park specifically, John Lewis Childs School [elementary] is one of the best on LI. The taxes are high in the towns you've mentioned, but since the schools are good and it is close to the city, it's all relative. Good luck!!
Edit for spelling
ETA: My stepmom sells real estate in these areas, so if you need a RE Agent, FM me and I'll give you her info!!
