Life is short

Life is short

Ok nothing bad has happened but I watched 'PS I love you' last night and could not stop crying. Even when the movie was over I was balling my eyes out and couldn't sleep because I kept thinking what if something like that happened to me and I lost DH. Or even one of my parents or someone close. I started just feeling horrible about things and wanting more than I have, etc. I am totally content with my life but somehow I am still complaining and wanting more, etc. Anyway I just feel I need to let DH know that I love my life and wouldn't change anything. You know what I mean? Like ok what if something happened to me - I would hate it if DH would be regretting things like oh I should have taken her to Hawaii or she always wanted a ____ and never got it. Anyway it was just a reality check and although I wasn't crazy about the movie itself I enjoyed the message. (I think the movie was good but just would hate if my dh was sending me letters, it would just be so hard)

Did any of you see this or have anything happen that made you feel like this? Ugh I just still feel terrible today and only slept like 2 hrs last night

Jenna this is exactly what happened to me last week when I watched this movie. It was a fantastic movie and i thought what he did was ingenious (don't want to give it away for others who haven't seen it and may want to) but I cried the entire time. I couldn't leave for work the next day because DH was sleeping and I kept going back into the room to hug and kiss him goodbye.
This was definitely an eye opener. I made the mistake of watching this on a night he was working late and i was alone...bad mistake. He came home and I was a wreck.
I know exactly how you feel today.

I swear I think Im the only person that did not cry during this movie. Everyone talks about crying. I watched it with DH and he even got a little choked up!!!

i saw this movie for the first time a few weeks ago.... i cried the entire time over a bottle of wine & chocolate but all kidding aside, it has a GREAT message. at the end, her last letter that she finally writes to HIM is great. and it just makes u appreciate the LOVE u have in ur life(and the 'all different kinds of love' ) and that that's all that really matters

glad u liked it! sometimes we really need a refresher of messages like these!

Re: Life is short

Its funny cause my sister told me about this movie and she cried like a baby. SO i watched it and i thought it was sad but i didnt cry or get really upset. I asked DH to watch it with me but he wouldnt. So, one day i come home from work, and there is DH all teary eyed on the couch secretly watching it. He took it worse than i did!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DH watched it with me, but was on the phone a few times (rescheduling his flight) and then fell asleep! He woke up to me sobbing and I couldnt even talk about it at all.

yes I just talked about that movie a few weeks ago on here. I was so upset by it both DH and I were in tears. DH because the movie was dedicated to someone's sister who was young when she died and Dh's sister has MS. I was actually sorry I watched it

I started to watch this...and I turned it off in the middle. It was so depressing and It made me so sad! I think the worst one was the NOTEBOOK. That movie is so good but everytime I watch it...I cling to dh...in tears. Dh was tearing up too...it was just such an emotional movie.

I couldn't watch the movie in one sitting. I was crying so hard during almost every scene! It was definitely an eye opener

I was a cry baby as well. DH wasn't home when I watched it and when he came home he thought something awful had happened because I was borderline hysterical. I really try to live my life the way I want to be remembered when I am gone (which hopefully isnt for a long time). I try to never go to bed angry at anyone, and always says I love you to the ones I love. The message was so great in the movie.

the SAME thing happened to me when I saw it. I'm very open about my feelings and this movie just put it all into view for me. I never miss a chance to say I love you to DH or my family. I always try to let my friends know they mean something very special to me.
