A woman jumped in front of my train and all service in both directions was suspended for almost 90 minutes. Crazy.....especially on a Friday night. The cops were all over the tracks trying to find her body. It was sad----and yet frustrating bc I just wanted to get home.
I wish there was a way to let us off the train so we could have someone pick us up instead of having to wait.
Also, they had to turn the power off on the train and we were roasting without any air circulation. Packed commuter train + drunk, sweaty guys = yuck!

Ohh, I read about that! I must have just missed it...I guess I was on an earlier train. I believe they said it was a 5:38 out of Flatbush. That's messed up and very sad.

Re: LIRR girls....Friday night's commute
DH got to penn just as they started closing lines down. Of course Ronkonkoma was delayed but he was able to get on the sayvile line, which was only 20 mins late, and 20 mins lirr time is like nothing.
