we saw a couple of Elvis', but didn't get re-married by any of them. I was amazed at how many weddings we did see - full blown bridal gown, bridal party get-ups. Seems to me if you're gonna do a Vegas wedding, you need to do it in the spirit of Vegas
The trip was good - nice and relaxing. We didn't gamble (other than the $1, I stuck in the slots for JennRenee). We spent a lot of time by the pool, walking the strip, drinking champagne (my sister had a bottle sent to our room - so sweet!) watching the Bellagio fountain shows. We rode Big Shot (ride atop the Stratophere) - so scary, but awesome.
'O' was great. Nobu was overrated and overpriced. We didn't do a lot of the typical sights (Mirage Volcano, etc) since we've both been there a number of times and seen it all. It was a pretty mellow trip for Vegas, but we still had a great time.
I have been on that ride on the top of the stratosphere...and holy cow is all I can say...by far the scariest ride I've ever been on!!!

i love em Lisa, I just told hubby I want him to dress up for our anniv dinner too. You and Al look hot. The place was absolutely fab. Look at you in the fly dress, looking all good and what not. Congrats and Happy anniv. Where did you have dinner, did you tell them you were celebrating.

Very sweet of your sister to send the bottle of champagne and your DH wearing a tux? Wow - must have been some really upscale place
I never thought LV would appeal to DH and I - we hate gambling and cheesy nightlife, but from what I've heard from close friends, it's not what I thought it would be. Who doesn't like relaxing by the pool during the day and entertainment at night?!

that was dinner at Nobu - he (the waiter) asked what brought us to Vegas, and we mentioned it was our anniversary. He encouraged us to order dessert and surprised us with the fancy decorating on the plate.
That was the first time I wore that dress. Felt a little strange being backless, but I got used to it.

yes, your plate was so cute with the wording They did that to us at Gary Danko's in SF. Have you ever been there? Delicious food and wonderful service!!!
it was HOT there. We spent almost all of Saturday by the pool and jacuzzi. (Didn't take any pics in the bathing suits though)
The picture of Al by the Flamingo pool was us killing time before going to the airport (thats why he's so dressed). We had already checked out of our hotel and were just wandering around.

thats his 'vegas' tux. Its got velvet lapels and velvet stripes down the legs (where satin usually is). Its a lot more comfy than a regular tux (soft stretchy fabric). He bought it for fun a few years ago.
Teri-I've been wanting to go to Gary Danko's. Haven't gotten there yet...
