Looking for a Park Near Leonards for picture taking
Hmm....Let see, went to Alley Pond Park and could not get in sucessfully because of the construction. Then, went to the area in Plandome Road, where the gazebo is, nice but too small. It is a possibility.
Don't know what to do anymore. O..and I don't like duck park across the street from macy's
Any idea appreciated?

Re: Looking for a Park Near Leonards for picture taking
There is a park in the middle of Great Neck that has a Gazebo. Our reception was at Leonards and we had several guests staying at the Inn at Great Neck. We were told by the hotel that there might be a small fee charged by the city to use the park, but we never looked into it, so I don't know for sure. There is also another one that you can see off the Cross Island, just past Northern Blvd. towards the Throgs Neck. Access is through the subdivision off Northern Blvd. and Bell Blvd. (there is a sign for the park off Bell) It may be one you've already mentioned. It's got a pond and sidewalk - wasn't too pretty when we saw it, but it might look better at other times - we checked it out in early April.
What about the park/walking path bordering the water off the Cross Island - might be able to get some fun pictures there too.
This is one of my favorite pictures from inside Leonard's - we were at the top of the stairs and our photographer was part way down the stairs.

Have you ever heard of Morgan's Park? It's located in Glen Cove and very beautiful complete with gazebo and all. My friend had her pics taken there 2 years ago and they turned out great. You might need some sort of permit from the Glen Cove Cit Hall though. Here are some random pictures I found on webshots of the park..they don't do it justice....but just so you have an ideamorgan park, glen cove

I posted in one of your other threads but what about Fort Totten, right off the Cross Island or Whitestone Park under the Whitestone Bridge. At both places you get some really cool shots of bridges and the water. They are probably about 5-10 minutes from Leonards. You just have to head back west on Northern Blvd to the Cross Island and go north towards the bridges.ETA - did you ask Leonards about taking photos on their grounds?

There's also Crocheron Park. It's East of bell blvd about 35th avenue. Also Ft. Totten off the Cross island bell blvd exit (make a right at the light) is really nice because of the Throgs Neck bridge. I don't think you can actually get into the Fort - I'd check into that.
And there's also the Bayside Marina right off of the Cross Island between the northern and bell blvd exits.
Can you tell I grew up in Bayside?!
