we're leaving SF the first week in Jan, so we'll arrive mid-January sometime.

(we'll be home for xmas 12/20-12/29)

Let's suggest they raffle off a BRAND NEW HOUSE for the newlyweds! One that just needs decorating and not all the fix-me-up stuff!!!

Nothing for me either (my kids are too old for me to go to the Mommy GTG). I do however very much like Karen's idea!! I think it's the least they can do for us old married folks!!!

Who knows.. maybe it is because some of us had issues with the huntingtion hilton. I know I never plan on going back and I hope anyone who goes to the GTG and wants to get a room goes the suite hotel next door which is nicer and friendly!

I know I didn't enjoy having a continous knocking on the door while we were consumating our marriage and having to answer it in my penior.
Or the fact my brother almost missed the wedding because he overslept and they wouldn't tell my husband what room he was in so they could knock on it and wake him and get the programs and many other things he had, they would only connect calls to him room and well he wouldn't hear the alarm he wasen't going to hear a phone.
Luckily, my inlaws got a list of what rooms were taken as the limos showed us and they knocked on everyone's door until they found my brothers.

But my inlaws did have a hospitality there and they said Laurie (who does their planning) decorating it really nice for us, even though my MIl fought with her the entire time during the planning ... she did it incase of rain and we had to take pictures indoors. We never saw it though because we were at The Farmingdale Rose Gardens.

I hope all the brides to be have a great time! It sounds like it would be interesting! I know Dh would never want to go to any type of EXPO though since he never wanted to go when we were engaged! lol
