So, last night's episode was kind of Blah for me. I have yet to read the abc message boards, or lostpedia.com , but I just realized something.
I was on the phone with one of our lawyers from a different office b/c she is the only one I know who watches around here. We got to talking about how if we know that all the people in the Dharma Initiative eventually die b/c of something Ben did, and if our Losties are at Dharma before that happened, then from what we have learned, it can only end badly for them right??
This is my theory. I think that Ben killed everyone on the island to save our Losties. We know that he kills everyone, but for what reason??? And we obviously know that the Losties are still alive in the future, so they couldn't have died with the others when Ben was around.
And I think that the people with Richard Alpert are the real 'others' that we have come to know in the past.
What did you guys think?
Oh, I also did not like how the baby was Ethan. I didn't like him, I didn't like his character, so I don't know what they are brewing up here.

Re: LOST!
I think they're going to rewrite the future. Does everyone know what happens to the dharma initiative? As far as I can remember locke and obviously ben are the only ones that know. Does Juliet know? and did ben have help from the hostiles when he did it?

Re: LOST!
Does anyone think Sayid is going to try to kill Ben (the child in 1977)? I don't think he will necessarily be successful but he had a weird look on his face like the thought crossed his mind.

I don't know if he thought about it, but I don't think he will do it. Obviously for the fact that Ben is still alive in the future. I think Sayid dislikes Ben very much, and will eventually meet up with him.
In last nights previews of next week, Sayid is heard saying 'I finally figured out my purpose' so maybe his purpose is to kill Ben?? b/c of Ben, Sayid's wife was killed right? who knows.
The Dharma Initiative was taken over by Ben and his new friends aka Richard Alpert. At least that is what I seem to remember.

Re: LOST!
ya last night was like not the greatest episode, but I think it was important. Im so curious where they go with all this. I only sort of remember the episode where they flashed back to why Ben killed everyone. I think it had something to do with wanting to control the island. But I really dont remember. Im curious about Frank and Sun and Locke. They are all in the same time, but when is that? I couldnt tell if the homes were destroyed enough to be after the freight people had blown stuff up. But it has to be cus Christian didn't get to the island till they crashed. And I think Christian must have gone there on purpose and died to get there exactly like Locke. So will he show up in the past at some point? I also think jack and kate Hurley etc are going to begin wondering why they are even there. Because Sawyer and Juleit etc seem to be living happily and in control of what they are doing. When Locke left, he didn't know the time jumping would stop and thought they needed to get everyone back to stop that before it killed them. So are they back to get everyone back to present time? Or to prevent them from being killed by the others. Why wasn't Sun sent to that time? Or locke? Frank I understand cus he wasn't there in the first place. So many questions!

Re: LOST!
Remember we saw that episode where Juliet was in the jungle with some guy that they killed??? Didn't Jack or Sawyer have an argument with the guy and put a wooden spear through his body??? So Juliet obviously finds someone else in the future. I don't now...I can't sort of wrap my head around anything yet, and nothing is really happening on the lost message boards :(

Re: LOST!
Sun, Ben and Lapidus are in 2007, which is 'real time' on the show. i.e. 3 years after the original plane crash. Before they changed scenes from the Ajira crash to Dharma-land, the caption said 'thirty years earlier'.
Ben initially committed 'The Purge' because he wanted to be in control of the island. Maybe the Oceanic 6 (well, 5 now) were convinced to go back in order to stop that from happening. Maybe this time around, it won't happen and all of those people won't die. Although Ben was a lot older than the little kid we saw last night when The Purge happened, so maybe someone will turn the wheel and they will start flashing again at some point?

Hmm, that made me think, maybe Daniel Faraday is going to turn the wheel to try to get back in time to rescue Charlotte or something, and then maybe that shifts them all to the correct present day in time. Obviously Ben was older in The Purge, so either our Losties are still with the DI at that time, and they somehow are saved from the 'Purge' or they have left the island long before that happened due to Daniel turning the wheel in the Orchid. Remember when we see him in the Orchid in the beginning of the season?? He is going to be the one to help them uncover the wheel and use it. That is what I think.

Re: LOST!
Damn I hate missing the LOST discussions! I was out in the field all day and just got back now so I had to catch up!
I don't really have much to offer b/c you all had some interesting points and theories. I did like last night's episode, though. I told Sara that I was totally crying when Sawyer was reuniting with Jack, Kate and Hurley - I am such a sap

I think you are 100% right!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Because in that first episode they said their drills were getting stuck on something and you could see little pieces of the wheel sticking out. But the question is, when the wheel is turned again, will everyone end up back in 2007? Or will some people be in one year and others in another... again?
