I got the broom handle that was so old that the broom part was gone!!! It was kept behind the fridge until my brother and sister broke it so my parents couldnt use it on me anymore. . .THAT is love!

Hallelujah and pass the peas! I've experienced either the threat of or carrying out of quite a few of these.

Whats funny is she never hit me. She just clocked me a little with the brush or pulled the Christian Guilt on me 'Your grandma loves you and this is how you treat ehr? You think GOD would like how you treat your poor old grandma?..He watches you know....'

LORD I never acted out after that. My dad smacked me good a few times and my mom did the 'rip your kids lips off because they backtalk' when I was 16 but other than that not tooo much damage. My cousins and bother got the snot kicked out of them though.

I will say I don't believe in 'beating' your child but....A smack on the @ss never killed me so i am sure it will come into play in my house especially if the kid is trying to do something like touch the stove. A smack across the rear is a better fear instilelr than 'no no no, that is HOT!'

I agree a little smack in the hiney isnt too bad or a slap on the hand. I wont be hitting my kid with the belt like I got it though. I love the Catholic guilt, that almost worked as well as the hitting! My mother always said if we hit her, when we died, the hand we hit her with would stay sticking straight up and they wouldnt be able to close the coffin. Isnt that a great thing to tell your kids?!! We were like 'yeah right'

I wrote this before on here but my grandmother used to point to the Crucifix in Church and whisper in my ear ' look at Jesus up there, he is crying because he knows how you treat your Nonna'

LMAO I remember you posting that last time we talked about this. Thats AWFUL but hysterical. Get your kid a little crucifix and when they act up point to it and whisper 'He's ALWAYS watching!'
