Hey girls! Last night we FINALLY placed our order for our album [phewww]
But now we can't choose which type of album to do. We're getting a digital mounted to edge album, but now we don't know what kind of cover to wrap around it...
I want the lucite cover [the front is lucite, and the back is leather which wraps around the spline and covers a bit of the front]- kind of like this:
DH wants the traditional leather cover- like this:
Which way should I go? Traditional & classic, or modern?!?! I kind of like how the 1st page will show through the cover, and they will incorporate our info on to that page [as opposed to having the leather cover embossed with the info]
Thanks girls!!!!!

Re: Lucite album cover or Leather? Poll! XP'07
While I'm a rather mod girl, I'm supporting your DH's vote... I prefer a traditional leather album, no pic on the cover.
Ours is ivory with gold embossing, and has the most gorgeous red silk lining on the inside cover...
so your last option is my vote, except maybe in a lighter (white / ivory / wedding color) color
LOVE it!! I've seen that one, its just GORGEOUS!
Im also leaning more toward's his decision now too... I don't wanna be 75 years old and pulling out my *2000's* album... Thanks girl

Thanks girl thanks I love this album becuase its old-school. you put the photos in with little photo corners, just like our parents' albums. I bought cute silver self-stick corners, and its turning out great so far....
(I'm doing our album.... budget wise, the choice was a new mod dining set for the holidays, or a pro wedding album.... not too difficult of a decision for me, since I love to play hostess )

I like the look of the Lucite....but...stupid question...is it Acid Free? Will it eventually turn yellow...or affect the photo behind it? (I used to work for a Lucite company, i think they turned slightly yellow if left in the sunlight or over time???? I can't remember) I'd ask the photog....

i like both looks - but i'm voting for leather only because i think it'll last longer in years to come.
