So I'm going thru my proofs to try to start planning my album and there are a TON of pictures of me before the ceremony (with my parents, and my BMs), but very few of DH (and only a couple of him and his mom -- none with him and his dad) before the ceremony. And now I feel like the album is going to be me, me, me. At least in the 'narrative' leading up to the ceremony.
How many pictures of the bride did you have 'getting ready' and formal shots before the ceremony? How many did you have of your groom? Would anyone mind sharing some?
(btw: the photographer was with me for like 2 hours before the ceremony and was only with DH for about an hour. Plus, while I have all these formal poses they only took one or two poses with DH -- the rest were photojournalist ones with his groomsmen.)

Re: Making your album -- is yours bride-centric???
Mine definitely has more of me...our photographer didn't do any of the groom getting ready, all his shots are after the ceremony.
Re: Making your album -- is yours bride-centric???
Dont feel bad...the bride always has more shots than the groom. We have ALOT of shots with us together...me with my parents...DH with his parents...us with bridal party... Dh has pics of himself but not as many as I do...
When I first went through our proofs I was relieved when I finally came to a pic of DH...
The first 300 were of just me!!!

Same here so I did a lot less of the 'getting ready' part and did more at Vanderbilt before the ceremony.

Re: Making your album -- is yours bride-centric???
We have a lot of shots of the two of us together, and the two of us with our families. I was getting ready in a hotel, and frankly, preferred the privacy. I didn't have loads of time to get ready either, so I decided to not have the photographer take any shots of me getting ready.
We met with our photographer last week, and we are opening with a shot of the two of us, and then we will move on to individual shots of both of us, and us with our own families, before the joined family/bridal party shots. Originally, the photographer suggested opening the album with a shot of me alone, and while that would have been nice, I think this works much better. So no, I wouldn't say our album is very bride-centric.

We have shots of us with families, bridal party ect. But there were not too many of DH I think there were only 3 posses which we really didnt like, adn the were a whole load of me( the girl that helped with our layout even commented on how many there were) I only put a bout 3 singles of me in and 1 or two of him, because I didnt want to make him feel bad.

I had them take a few photojournalistic getting ready shots of me, but in the end I am not going to use them for my album. They are probably going to go into a nice silver album that we received from DHs coworkers. The album says I do and it is from pottery barn. I am going to put the eshoot, getting ready, candid, and HM photos into that album. The professional album will have more posed shots and a few photojountalistic ones.

I had no getting ready shots, the album is still more me than him. It's just the way it is..
