Making Your Own Sushi?

Does anyone make their own sushi? For Christmas, I want to get DH a new rice cooker. He used to have one, but it got broken in moving. I got him a sushi-making kit with the rolling mat and recipe book, but I am not sure where to get ingredrients, like nori and sushi-grade fish. Does anyone else do this and have suggestions for the kind or rice cooker to get or where to get ingredients? Thanks!

dh makes his own sushi sometimes. we get the sushi rice (special rice i believe that makes is sticky) and the green covering (what is it called?) at an asian supermarket.

there is h&y in plainview/hicksville area and another asian supermarket in hempstead where we get the ingredients.

My dad makes his own sushi and its delicious.
He cooks the rice in a pot but adds things to it, to make it sticky rice. He gets the seaweed, wasabi and other ingredients at the asian supermarkets in queens. He puts rice on seaweed with cucumbers and crabmeat and rolls it and seals it with wasabi. He gets the fish egg things there too that they usually have on california rolls.
