Marriage Certificate

Ladies, how long did it take for you to get you marriage certificate from NYS, I've been hearing different things? TIA

Mine was in my mailbox when we got home from the HM......11 days after we got married

I havent gotten mine yet, should I be concerned? I called the church and they assured me that they sent it out.

I dont know where you live, but I know the NYC girls get theres way later. Im on LI and it was super fast!

Yes, mine is from Brooklyn, is that right, we get it way later? So I guess I should be patient. I just want to go ahead with the paperwork to change my name already.. thank you

Ours took almost 5 weeks- We applied in the Bronx.

Tomorrow we will be married 3 weeks, we applied in Brooklyn. I guess there is nothing i can do be wait.

MIne would have taken almost a month but then it took longer because it got lost in the mail. I had to call and say we never got it and they sent a new one the next day.

We did ours in Brooklyn.

They mailed it to us on 8/13 -- our wedding was 7/18, and our officiant said he mailed it right in. So just about a month later they mailed it to us.

I was upset at the time, but it was worth waiting an extra few weeks just to have my last name the way I wanted it (with a space between my maiden and new last name, rather than a hyphen). Apparently the LI people couldn't do that whereas I had no problem with it.
