we got married almost two months ago and still haven't gotten our marriage license in the mail. How long did it take to get yours? also where did you go to change your name on everything. dmv and social security?

Re: marriage license
We got our marriage certificate in the mail within the week after our wedding. Since it's been 2 months you should call your Town Hall and see what's up.
To change my name I went to the Social Security office in Patchogue and the DMV in Hauppauge.

Re: marriage license
Our certificate came in the mail while we were on our honeymoon- so within 2 weeks. You should definitely call the town you got your license from.
I stil haven't changed anything yet.........

Re: marriage license
Our marriage certificate was in the batch of mail I picked up on Monday, a week and two days after our wedding--- and we currently live in Indiana.
We went through Riverhead to get our marriage certificate, so it may also depend on how well the town hall runs.

Re: marriage license
Ours was waiting for us when we got back from the HM as well. Two weeks after the wedding. We got ours from Town of Hempstead.

Re: marriage license
We had ours in the mail when we got back from HM. I would call them as it should have gotten there by now. For SS, I went to one in Manhattan but I forget which location. Waited for over 2 hours. Bring a book. Or they suggest you go before it opens and wait outside on line. This way you are one of the first people to get called once they open. For lisence and registration change, I suggest the DMV express on 34 & 8. They were super fast and super nice. I was in and out in under 30 minutes. Good luck!

Re: marriage license
Ours was also in the mail when we returned from the HM. Our rev. was the one who sent it in with the witness signatures, so maybe that is what is holding it up. ?
