i never thought about this til the moment it happened - when you signed your marriage license, did you sign your maiden name or your new married name (if you changed it to DH's last name)? i literally remember freezing up and not knowing what the heck to do and asking DH wait...what do i sign!?!? what did you sign?

I signed my maiden name since that was legally still my name.
Never even thought about it! lol. But our marriage certificate came in and there was nothing wrong with it so I'm sure that was fine!

I signed my maiden name because that is who I was at the time I got it. I never even gave it a thought.

You sign your maiden name. You don't have any legal right to use your married name before you're actually married.
