How long after your wedding do you usually get your marriage license in the mail. I am so anxious!!!!!!

you get the marriage certificate and it all depends on the office you went and got the license. The city takes longer...mine took almost 2 months

so does upstate NY - we live right outside of New Paltz & it took 7 weeks...ugh!

I think mine was back a couple of days after my honeymoon so that was probably less than 2 weeks.

We live in Queens but got ours in Oyster Bay. We came home from the honeymoon (2 wks after the wedding) and our marriage cert was among the mail waiting for us.
Highly recommend that office, they were great! Even just getting the license was smooth, painless and quick.

If you get it in the 5 boroughs it can take 4-8 weeks to receive the license. It took us about 6 weeks to get ours.

We got ours in LI and we got married the 1st and by the time we got back from our HM on the 22nd it was already at my moms house.
