is there any way to check the status of your marriage license??
i sometimes have had a problem getting mail at my appt since i moved and im nervous that its not going to get to me
we mailed it out the monday after the wedding and i know its only been 12 days..but im just trying to figure this out being that i dont live in NY that it might not get to me in time for all the legal stuff we need it for ( insurance and all that needs to be done in 30 days)

i live 10 min away from the town hall it was mailed from, and it took 16 days to get to me. give it a few extra days since you are out of state. if you don't get it after 30 days, then you should def check with the town you got your marriage license in.

I live in FL and got mine 2 weeks after my wedding. I would give it another week it should come anyday now.

which town hall?
i used smithtown - i was married 11/23, the church mailed it out on 11/26..... it was waiting for me when i got back from my HM on 12/3.

We received our marriage license while we were on our honeymoon...we got married on the 29th and the church mailed it out. We got back on the 6th of January. I would call where you applied maybe?

Youll probably get it in a week or so.. We got ours when we got back from the HM and that was about 2 weeks later

call and ask! we waited for-ever for ours! i was able to get city hall to check on the status for us. Good thing we did, or else we would've never got it!

Ours arrived 12 days after our wedding. Give it a few days, but if you don't get it, CALLLLLLLLL.

we live out of state too, but it still came within about 2 weeks, so don't worry....but it's definitely a nice feeling seeing that official piece of paper, i couldn't wait to get it

If you dont get it in another week call the town you got your license from...they can check and see if it was put into the system. If they dont have it call the church and find out if they sent it.
If they have......call town hall and explain to them the situation, you may have to have someone from your family go to the town and get another copy of your license (DH and I had to do this-but your family member can go b/c you are out of town) then they will have to bring it to the church and either mail it out or deliver it to the town. I didnt actualy have my marriage license until almost 2 months later...Good luck, I hpe you get it soon-I had a long annoying process to go thru to get it all fixed
