may be moving soon

so we WERE going to buy a place in town... our bid was accepted, but the deal fell through during the inspection

this may have been a blessing in disguise, since we later were honest with ourselves, and the likelyhood that we'll move in the next 3 years. It's simply not worth the hassle or the closing costs to buy now, if we have to do it all over again in the near future...

SOOOO, we asked our landlord if there's a larger apt available (we're in the smallest one right now ) He told us today that there's one that will be free next week, and it's 2.5 times the size of our current apt.... many more large sunny windows.... and only slightly more than we're currently paying in rent...... our building rocks... clean, newly remodeled, nice tiles....

guess who may be moving in a week or 2 to a much larger space

I can't wait to say goodbye to our micro-living situation

That is great. Hooray for windows and more closet space. I was following your house search on LIF so things seem to have worked out for the best. We lived in a basement apartment for 6 months after the wedding and I feel your pain over having a tiny space.
