awww...thanks! And, Happy 1st Anniversary to you, too!

We were away for 10 days in April for my brother's destination wedding, so that trip became part of our anniversary. When we got back we had a nice dinner out and some awesome one-year old wedding cake, too.

Sounds like a great anniversary! Where was your brother's wedding?

We celebrated ours with a romantic dinner and then this past weekend we spent a night at Danfords, where we had our reception. We had a big room with a private deck overlooking the harbor, and ran into Vicki, our banquet manager, who gave us a big hug and free champagne at dinner. Our bakery, Rolling Pin, also offers a free 7inch wedding cake on your one year anniversary, so we picked that up and ate it all weekend!

Happy Anniversary May brides!!

I can't believe that it's really been a year!!

We had a beautiful day as well...had breakfast (with mimosas) and then exchanged 'presents' which were 'love letters' or cards since paper was the 'gift'...DH wrote a beautiful heartfelt 5 page letter and after the mush fest we spent the day lounging on the sofa reading all our cards from the guests (in keeping with the 'paper' theme) and we looked at all the pictures taken by our guests. It was truly memorable!! Then we napped and woke up to 'grill' (which is BBQ in NY! ) and had NY strip steaks with sweet corn and more champagne. We 'cut' the top tier of our cake around 11:30pm and threw it out after two bites. But it was cute with the cake topper while it lasted. It was a lovely day of just the two of us; can't wait for what's to come!

Wishing you all long, healthy, happy, blessed marriages!
