May I have some hugs today ? turning into nightmare

Ladies, I need some hugs today.
Last night we received a phone call that Michael's cousin had died of a massive heart attack. She was 66 years old and leaves behind a husband, 6 children and 9 grandchildren.

We are all gathering together on Long Island later today to grieve and to make travel arrangements to Oklahoma for the funeral. It was her wish to be buried there with her second husband instead of returning to her home state.

Most difficult part was telling Michael's mother that her niece has died, but she is taking it quite well, and will be travelling with us to Oklahoma.

It's been a nightmare trying to get everything together.
While we were trying to get travel arrangements together for the 12 of us that will fly to Oklahoma, we found out that Alice's husband went on a drinking binge and is drunk somewhere. (He is an alcoholic). He hasn't made any arrangements yet. Her body is at the funeral home, and if he doesn't show up by tomorrow morning, the funeral home will release the body to us and we will have it flown home to LI and have the funeral up here.
We consulted with attorneys both here and in Oklahoma, and spoke with the sheriff as well, just to make sure we have legal rights as next of kin.
Some 'friend' of the husband spoke to us about a ceremony being planned on the reservation this Saturday. Alice's husband is an American Indian, chief of his tribe. But if husband does not claim the body by tomorrow, we get it and bring it home.

I really hate to do this, but we are all keeping our fingers crossed that the husband stays drunk.
Just a horrible nightmare.
