Re: ****MeNBobs****

I was just going through the pages and I saw this. I can't believe I missed my own personal shout out!!

I definitely feel your pain! DH can't wake up early to go anywhere with me but if there is a game on or he is playing golf he is up 10 min early. He is really into the gaelic and has had plans for the finals, on Sept 16, since July. He is going somewhere in Mineola to watch the game because he will get breakfast ahh the mind of a man.

Why the sad face? Dont let that get you down. When it comes to men and sports we as women know, they could be on fire and wouldnt know it if the game is on. You want DH to spent time with you during the season? Try this, when you know a game is going to come on, buy your DH his favorite food and drink! Place it in his place he sits when the game is on (they all have a place) and LEAVE HIM ALONE!! Dont argue or ask questions while the game is on, NOTHING. Jst leave him alone. After the game is over watch what happens, he'll realize she hasnt spoken to me in a while If after the first game that doesnt work keep doing it. Go out, do your own thing and he'll come to you crying that you dont spend time with him. GUARENTEED IT WORKS!!

Not that you want to feed his fire, but tell him to go to the Irish_American Center in Mineola for the All-ireland... it costs $20.00 to get in, but you do get your tea. beer and soda bread...but the best part is that it is on a HUGE screen. gotta love it!!! i go every year for the Ulster final and the All-Ireland...

There is a Long island team? He looked into joining a team a few months ago but the closest one he could find played in Queens. Maybe him not playing is a good thing it keeps him out of the ER.

I think that is where they are going!! He usually goes to the hibernian hall in East Islip but for the All-Ireland a bus is arranged. You will def see him there! He has been talking about this since July. He said the day of the All-Ireland final is the best day of the year and the day after is the worst day of his life

Everytime I see your screen name I start humming Las Vegas in the hills of Donegal. It will be stuck in my head again today

Yeah- www.longislandgaels.com there is a men's soccer and gaelic team.

DH had his tooth knocked out this year but that has been the only major injury so far

Thanks!!!!! I'll show him the site later.
Between gaelic and hurling Dh has lost his two front teeth, broken his septum and broke an ankle
Maybe he is accident prone and should only watch on tv
