mil lunch date

so, somehow i've gotten myself signed up for a lunch date with my mil. i always try to do the right thing and now i'm totally dreading it.

she is a professor/nurse at columbia and i sell drugs there. the medical school campus/hospital is enormous...like a city in and of itself...so we never cross paths. tomorrow i have a 1:15 appt for work and i figured i'd do the right thing and at least see if she was free for lunch (hoping she would decline).

well, we're on! we have a totally fine relationship on the surface (kinda, she's passive aggressive so makes like snide underhanded comments that can be brushed off because they're so indirect). she gave us a lot of grief following the wedding (said someone offended her at the cocktail hour, scolded us for not getting out tys fully out in 2 months, etc)

so ladies, please wish me luck for tomorrow....my fat mouth and i will be having lunch with my very unpredicatble mil.

then i realized what you meant.
so there's my little ha-ha.

my mil and i get along fine, i mean, we butt heads sometimes.. but we both get over it within minutes, so i'm not the best to give advice with uncomfortable mils.
the only thing i can think to say is... whatever happens- happens.
dont stress it, hopefully things will be fine, if not.. then say your piece, i'm all about getting things out in the open, it could be a good thing.

just dont stress it, enjoy the time together, and if all else fails, take some drugs (

What drugs do you sell? I also work for Columbia UMC!! I'm a Physician Assistant. However, my center is located in midtown, so I only have to go uptown once in a blue!
