MIL Vent

Well I have a good MIL story for ya : ). My MIL is pretty ditzy and I can go on and on about things she does...mostly I just ignore it and say to myself, thank god my mother isn't like that, BUT this weekend took the cake.

For our wedding we purchased each set of parents a wedding portfolio with our pictures in it from the photographer. Neither wanted full albums. I involved my MIL in the process as much as I could...she picked out pictures, layouts, leather type. So they are finished about a month ago and I give it to her. I show her how it is displayed and made sure she liked it. Mind you this cost us about $350.

So jump to this weekend. I'm sitting in her livingroom and look over and see a picture of me and my FH in this nasty frame on the wall. I'm thinking to myself....I never gave her that reprint. Then i look on the coffee table and there is another 5x5 picture of my DH and his brother stuck in a 5x7 frame. So I get up and look and what did she do???

She cut up the whole portfolio and took out the pictures!!!! The pictures were mounted to the leather backing so she cut through all the leather too!!!

I didn't even say anything to her because I'm so pissed about the waste of money. I just could have ordered reprints and saved a few hundred. My DH yelled at her and she was just like oh i didn't realize I couldn't cut it!!!
