missing gifts

missing gifts

i have read the many hysterical posts about this issue- and somehow feel relieved about the fact that we are missing gifts from 12 couples (3 of them were groomsmen). My only question is this...some of the MIA gifts are from people that I am positive would have given at least a card. If you have a close relationship with someone, is it wrong to ask them- just to insure that nothing happened to it? we havent deposited our checks yet, I think we are still hanging on to the fact that something will come by mail!

You'd be surprised at how many brothers and sisters or BIL and SIL of brides on this site have not gotten gift.

My brother and our best man stull have not given us gifts.

Oh, and I'd cash those checks right away. Some people aren't good about balancing their checkbook. They might think you already cashed it and that they can just spend the 'extra' money in their account. Then you'll have a bounced check and a fee.

Cash the checks as soon as you can, that way people know you recieved them and they weren't lost.

You might get a few more gifts but be just prepare for the worst, people will surprise you.
