Moment of Truth- Please Explain this to me...

Moment of Truth- Please Explain this to me...

Why would people go on this show?

How do they get on- someone mentioned answering 50 questions...? Are they attached to a lie detector machine when they answer these in the audition? Why wouldn't someone lie to make themselves look better and not like a total Wh0re (this comment stems from watching the clips from last nights show)

I just don't get it...

Is there ever a good outcome?

It doesn't make sense that anyone would sign up- unless it is all staged.

I don't watch this show and don't plan to ever watch it...

It's kind of sickening that Americans thrive on the unhappiness in other people's lives (ie- Jerry Springer, this show, other reality shows...)

For money-for whatever reason we are always looking for the easy way out...make an easy 200k and all I have to do is not lie-I guess it makes sense to some people.

Ill be honest-i did not watch it last night-i do say i want to watch it-but the show last night i think really her husband needed to know those things...was it the right way of going about it-NO! But whatever makes her sleep better at night i guess

i have to tell you that I do watch it and it has ended well before.

There was a guy - he was soooo sweet.. He had a gambling problem - he had gambled away a LOT of money.

His 'biggie' question was that his son walked out and asked him, 'have you ever gambled away my college fund?'. Apparently - his mother had been telling him this for YEARS....

The guy answered HONESTLY - NO and he kept saying to the host - to have that question be able to be answered....my son has asked me that all his life....and now he knows - without a doubt...

It was lovely - really.....

From what I understand, you audition for the show. When you get picked, you are hooked up to a lie detector and asked 50 questions. So they have the results of true/false from there.

Then on the day of the taping of the show, they pick (how many??? 20 or so) questions from the 50 they asked while you were on the lie detector. So you already KNOW the questions before you're asked them during the taping, and you KNOW how potentially BAD it could be. So to agree to do the taping when you're going to reveal to the world that you stole money from work, that you have cheated on your husband, etc., well personally I just think that's stupid. For money??? To me, it's not worth it. But to each his own.

i haven't watched the show, but i did see the host being interviewed (can't remember what show that was on)

they are asked ALL of these questions w/ a lie detector before the taping of the show even starts. so all the drama is totally manufactured .... they already know what the questions are going to be. i guess they just don't know if they were caught in a lie or not?

the show is a knock-off or a remake of another show that was done in a different country ... where one of the questions was 'have you ever hired someone to kill your husband' ... and she said YES!

true true!!!

theres alot of cr@p out there and Im not proud I watch some of it! trying to cut some out.

and then we all sit back and talk about how horrible they are. i guess the verse comes to mind- 'Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?' i know i have alot of growing in this area as well, judgment that is.

more than anything, i think its just sad for them.

I agree Jess, I feel like most people have a lot of growing to do in the 'judging others' area - myself included! I always try to be nice, but I'm not perfect. Some people are just way too judgmental though!

i hear that.

none of us are perfect. Ill be the first to say I have ALOT I can work on, and judging and pride are big ones. But Im just trying to be mindful of when I start saying things about other ppl and Im like... why do have any right to say someones a bad person or whatever when Im far from perfect.
