Does anyone know of any advantage in using a Mortgage Broker vs researching bank rates and going direct?
When I bought my co-op I did my own research and went direct but we are wondering if a broker can get us a better deal???
Not that we are anywhere close to finding something but I want to prequalify and you never know when the dream house will pop up!
I had a good experience with my broker. He did all the research (daily)and kept our best interests at heart. I love research and making phone calls and would normally have done it myself, but with everything going on last year this was the best way. It didn't cost us anything and he even came to our home for the initial visit. All other correspondence was done by mail, phone or fax. Got us a great deal with Chase.
