1: truly finding my other half and spending lazy days with him...and having the best time ever doing nothing.
2: realizing how truly amazing it was to find a man who treats me and loves me how my father loves my mother.

Waking up next to him, kissing him goodnight. Kissing him hello after a long day at work. Saying I love you a million times a day. Being a family, our own family. Taking trips together. Just being together in general!!

For us with all we have been through in this first year, its knowing that there will always be someone by my side to wipe away my tears, hold my hand when I feel weak, get me ice cream when nothing else works, hold my hair back when I am sick, and love me through it all.
My DH and I didnt really have a newlywed period because of family stuff and his strength and dedication to me has really touched me through it all!

HI everyone- I am not married yet but getting married 10/06. I LOVED this post!!! I totally agree about creating a family and being with a man, my best friend that truly loves and cares for me like no other, it is an amazing feeling!!

no more long rides home at night.
We lived over 50 miles apart. We'd spend weekends together and DH would always visit me on Wednesday nights.
I used to worry SO MUCH about him driving home. A couple times I even started to cry because I was so worried!
And, when I was finishing my Master's, 2 WEEKS went by without us seeing each other AT ALL because I was just so busy with school.
Now he's ALL MINE

I would have to say since we never lived together, just waking up to one another and falling asleep together at night.
I love the fact that we are our own family now.

Finally being able to move forward with our lives. I.e., buying our first home together and starting a family. I cannot wait to be a mommy. Even though we could've done all these things already (because we've been living together for 5 years), we just wanted to do things the 'traditional' way. If it were up to me, I would be working on my second child by now.
same here! Been together for 7 years, lived together for 4... Time to make the next steps

i have to agree with suven...
ray and i had been inseparable since freshman year in college, and when we graduated 4 years ago we only saw each other on the weekends until we got married!!
I love seeing my hubby everyday

SO many things....being a family after 8 years of dating, being so truly happy just being with him all the time even doing mundane things like grocery shopping last night, deepening our love each day!!!
