My first Newlywed post..............

My first Newlywed post..............

Well, I have crossed over

We just made the bank run to deposit checks and picked up the mail that was held.

We started to open the gifts from the wedding and found a beautiful crystal frame with NO CARD How do we figure out who sent it

I have a running list of gifts so far and assume those who gave checks did not also give gifts (accept one really good friend that I know about).

Do we just need to ask EVERYONE who attended I do not want to wait to long since this was a gift that someone left with us at the hall. It was not a registry item.

ETA - Mystery solved. Found a second gift from Strawbridge's with no card but a gift receipt from Burlington NJ. DH's sister lives there. And I later found the Strawbridge's gift card in the box of leftovers from the hall. I have no idea how they got separated but at least I know that DH's sister gave us two gifts

ETA - Nope, it's from my FIL. He is from SC but was in NJ prior to the wedding and bought the gift there. He responded to the e-mail and said there was a card but I still have not found it

Congratulations Katrina!

Ok...onto business... What does the postmark say? Can you narrow it down by that and just ask the people in those areas?

ETA: OOPS! I didn't read it ALL the way through...I just saw it was at the hall.
I have no advice!

try to match it up with anyone who gave you an empty card at the reception or maybe even no card at all.

you could also start with immediate family and ask if they gave it to you.

Ask the people who were there and who you know what they gave you about the gift.

AND CONGRATS!

Welcome & congrats

First off, if you have a running list of guests with their gifts, is there any that are missing?? If not, I would start with immediate family & see if anyone knows...

Congraulations Katrina!

I agree with the others. Check your list for people who don't have anything marked next to their name and see if it might be them.

Congrats Katrina, & Welcome!

I would start asking immediate family if they know who left it for you.

Congratulations!!!!!

I would look at your gift list and see if you're missing gifts from any guests. Maybe ask around among those people? It might also provide the impetus for those non-gifters to go out and get you something!

Re: My first Newlywed post..............

Thanks ladies

I am keeping a running list of gifts and there are some that gave just cards so far.

We had some guests tell us during table visits that our gifts were on the way (and they had already ordered things to be shipped). I know there are things that were purchased from our registry that have not yet been delivered or that are still in the boxes that now take up the living room

We are still getting checks in the mail from guests so I will give it a couple of weeks and put out some feelers this week with the family too

If it's something from your registry, you can call the store and they will tell you who purchased it.

Someone gave us a juicer an we have no idea to this date who it was. We figured when someone complained to my MIL they didn't get a thank you card, then we'll know who it was!

No, it's not from the registry. It's funny you mention that though.

I sent this e-mail today:

Someone left a gift for us at the wedding with no card. It's a beautiful Mikasa crystal frame that was in silver wrapping paper with white flowers on the outside. It was purchased from Strawbridges? If you left this for us or if you saw who did leave it, please let us know.

Thank you so much.

K & R

----------My sister called and said what is Strawbridges and she did not know we registered there. We didn't
