What did you guys do about post wedding depression? I haven't been working since Feb. and have been planning the wedding since then. I am looking for a job now but miss all the planning. I want to do it again!! It went by so fast.

Re: My first post as a newlywed. Have question.
All of my wedding planning energy has turned toward buy/move/decorate the new house! I honestly dont miss the wedding planning, i think its nice now to be able to relax a little.

We moved into our house a year and a half ago and it's done. I'm starting to think about the holidays.

Hi Debbus, welcome to the 'newlywed' side! I didn't miss the planning. I enjoyed it and now love being a married lady. But my attention is focused on work and school. Maybe you can find a hobby that will keep you busy - you probably miss planning/doing something!

Re: My first post as a newlywed. Have question.
I miss having a long range plan. I am focusing on the holidays right now and I am taking a scrapbook class I don't know what'll be next - I think my Fh is scared to ask Little does he know, I want him to get his own hobby
I think it's normal to miss it. Planning our weddings took up so much of our time and energy for the last few months how can you not? When I finish a book I miss the characters.
1. reason may because we got a PUPPY!! 2. reason may b/c I started the school year again 3. reason may b/c w e have anothe rlong range plan...to move to CA!!
but I have been a bit bored at times...hence why I am still on these boards...so I have been thinking of classes I can take...1. pilates 2. cooking or 3. spanish (so i can communicate with some of DH's family and be more marketable in CA)

I had the PWB but they only lasted a couple of weeks. I focused my time on relaxing (enjoyed the rest of the summer) and TTC-which I did successfully! Now, my energy is focused on finding a bigger place to live.

I did not have time to get depressed after the wedding. I got pregnant 2 months later, and immediately had to plan for the baby's arrival!

What is that just kidding, I have heard a few brides say they miss it, but I was one happy gal to have my life back to normal, no appts, no to do list. I promise you, you will get bored with it all soon. Volunteer, find a hobby, exercise, girl there is too much to do, to think about PWD. Sorry if I sound harsh, but I don't want you feeling down in the dumps at all, help the ladies on the other side, help someone you know, if there is anyone. All the best. Looking at our video and our pix makes me feel good when I am down or PMSing

Re: Yabbobay
Sounds familiar, we got a puppy, too! Where in CA are you thinking of moving? If it is anywhere near San Diego, if you have any questions let me know! We moved out here a little over 3 years ago and LOVE it. I am from LI and my husband is from NJ.
