I never had an Irish last name, even though I'm 1/4 and I don't look it at all. I'm wearing a green shirt and green eyeshadow and my boss's wife called me out on it as a faker, until I explained that I really AM part Irish.
But like I mentioned yesterday, today is also DH's nameday, so he could give two hoots about St. Patrick's when it's St. Alexio day as well!

Hey my last name was Angelo and I always celebrated my 1/4 Irish heritage. DH is Hungarian and Irish with a Hungarian last name and he proudly shows off his Irish side. You are Irish whether your name says it or not. Plus you don't even have to be Irish to be Irish on St. Pats Day.
