My grandma

My grandma

My grandmother's cancer came out of remission and back into her lungs about two months ago. It was discovered during a CT scan she had following a fall in front of my aunt's house in November '09. Since it's back with such a vengance, they don't see her surviving past June or July 2010. It hadn't quite hit until I saw this picture of her walking down the aisle with my grandfather. . .that she was allowed to live to see me and DH get married!

I haven't cried yet, and somehow, I think coming back to this site is going to be much needed therapy for this. . . She's finally coming home from the hospital this weekend, but they don't know what they're doing about chemo yet since she's not 100% ambulatory yet. (She had to have basically the whole right side of her body reconstructed: shoulder, hip, and femur.)

Re: My grandma

Sending you prayers and love.

My advice would be just spend as much time as you can with her.

When my grandma was going to die.....i knew it. I went to her house to say hello (visiting my mom and her family in CT). It was a few days after my grandma's 93rd birthday and I KNEW she wasnt right. A week later she was gone.

So cherish the time you have and just love eachother.

Im so so sorry.
