My Honeymoon Trip to Bermuda

Hey Ladies,

I just wanted to tell you all about the great time I had on my honeymoon. My husband and I went on a 7 Day cruise to Bermuda and we had so much fun! The cruise we went on was wonderful, we went with Celebrity Cruise Line and the ship was called Horizon. The service was great, the staff was always at your service and always had a smile. They had so many activities to keep you busy such as shows, casino, and games at the pool and much more. We never had a dull moment. It was like a floating hotel because even when we were in Bermuda we still ate and slept on the ship.

Bermuda is gorgeous! A very clean and beautiful Island. The people are so friendly there. The beaches are amazing and some of them have pink sand! We went sightseeing, horseback riding, sailing, shopping, etc. We didn’t do the water sports because I can’t swim and am afraid of the water activities but there is still so much more to do. I highly recommend going there and if any of you ladies ever plan on going there in the future you can ask me for tips on where my husband and I went on the island and what we did. I’ll gladly tell you. I haven’t downloaded the pictures yet because I have not hooked up my computer in my new apartment yet and then once I do that I have to try to figure out how I can link the website ofoto.com to a post so you can all just go to the website and see the pictures all at once.

We just came back from there last week on our belated honeymoon. We took Carnival Cruiselines and loved it. We would also highly recommend people go to Bermuda. What a beautiful place?

Oh yes we loved it so much we went there twice! LOL Did you climb up those rocks to the top and look down. Wow what a view you could see all of horeshoe bay from there. Did you go to the crystal caves and the aquarium and zoo? those were cool too. Did you go horseback riding on the beach?

Novembersue- Horseshoe Bay Beach is incredible ! Also loved tobacco bay, and elbow beaches.......We ate in Hamilton at this place called Barracuda Grill - amazing food!! Did anyone go to Crystal Caves and Rum Swizzle Inn - that was fun too!

We went to that beach twice also because we loved it so much. We also went on the glass bottom boat and snorkel adventure and we went on the sunset sail away which I really loved. We also went to the museum, saw the dolphin show,saw the glass factory & checked out the stores in Hamilton.
We didn't climb to the top of the rocks. I had brought our camcorder and camera and didn't want to venture off too far from that stuff.
We loved it.

Yeah we loved horshoe bay and the crystal caves was interesting to. We passed by the rum swizzle inn but didnt go in. We got a bottle of rum swizzle inn for my brother in law and we are waiting to see what his reaction is to it...LOL

Did anyone go to bailey's ice cream parlor...it was right there near the swizzle inn and crystal caves. It was so good. I had bermuda banana flavored ice cream. Very Delicious and I'm a picky person when it comes to ice cream.

Did anyone cruise with Horizon???

We were on the Carnival Pride and it was that ship's first time to Bermuda.

I took the Celebrity Cruise to Bermuda but on the Zenith. I can't believe how beautiful Horseshoe Bay Beach was. We had a great time. We went to the perfumery and Crystal Caves. MY DH was a maniacon the jet ski. The food was really good on the ship...

NovemberSue that was really cool how the cruise you took was the ships fisrt voyage to Bermuda. We did the sunset sail too and it was one of our favorite things. It was beautiful, especially how you come back when it's dark and see your ship all lit up. Isnt that awesome! I miss Bermuda. We hopefully plan to go back there for our 1 year anniversary but we will have to see financially if we can.

We cruised on Royal Caribbean - the ship was older but we did have our own private balcony which was awesome - esp. at night gazing at the ocean. I'm jealous- our trip on the glass bottom boat was canceled due to rough waters and I was very upset about that. We did climb the big rocks at horseshoe bay - but we didnt check out that ice cream shop. The aquarium was nice too. We stopped in and wandered around Elbow Beach hotel - man that hotel is Gorgeous! We had a drink at their oceanview rest. I would love to stay there but its pretty pricey I believe... Bermuda is just a great place ---perhaps not the most remote, but clean, SAFE, serene with beautiful beaches and upscale restaurants and shops.

We also had a proper british lunch at this cute place called Henry the Eighth's - very englisy....across from the south shore beaches i think it was.

Can't wait to see you pictures. I cruised to Bermuda on the Celebrity Horizon like 2 years ago. I also loved Horseshoe Bay and visited it twice...we spent so much tim climbing and exploring those beaches. I am not sure I ever saw a beach as clean as Elbow Beach. Now, I want to go home and look at my Bermuda pictures!

bedda26: We didn't even know it was our ships first trip to Bermuda. They announced it over the loudspeaker. I must say they kept our ship extremely clean and everyone was very friendly.
Can't wait to see your pictures!!
We would definately go back. It is very expensive there so I'm not sure when.

If we go back we will definitely go and explore more of the beaches! It is expensive in Bermuda but still it's so clean and beutiful. Isnt it wild how it only takes about 2 hours to get from one point of the island to the other? And to think it would be even less time if the speed limit were higher. It's only like 20mph. However I do think the buses were booking it...LOL I liked those buses and the ferry rides were nice too. Did anyone buy the bus passes. They were great! We bought a 3day one and it was so cool how you can use them for both the buses and the ferries. So we made great use of them!

Yes, we bought the 3-day also - I loved the ferry/bus system - very efficient.....cant wait to see pics....I think I will go home and look at mine again

We didn't take the bus while we were there. We took taxis and we took the fast ferry.
We had 14 people from our ship hospitalized from scooter accidents.
