My husband outdid himself....

My husband outdid himself....

Today is our first anniversary. Now for some reason, I have been crying for days...(darn baby hormones) and I just feel so incredibly sentimental and missing my special day.

Well my husband came home with a bouquet from Takishimaya (which is the most outrageous store on 5th Ave. with an incredible florist) and it was just like my wedding bouquet. All dark calla lilies, pepperberries and dark dark roses...

Then he gave me the most beautiful jewlery box, which was gift in itself. I opened it and was listening to the music it played and suddenly the tears just started flowing......he had a music box made with our wedding song- Con Te Partiro.....I almost died. I have never gotten anything so romantic and thoughtful in my life. I just hugged him and hugged him (well as close as I can get with the belly alien in the way) and we danced. Which was funny because I was kneeling on the bed and he was standing next to it.....

I just wanted to share. I am a lucky lucky married lady.....

Today we are going to St. Patrick's Cathedral (where we got married) for mass, and to talk to the Monsignor about the Christening for the baby in February! We've come a long way in one year!!!! We weren't kidding around when we promised to 'welcome children into our lives' at pre-cana!!!

I treated him to Becco which is Lidia's restaurant (from Lidia's Italian Kitchen) and to see Movin Out on Wednesday night.

I am making breakfast today - does that count?!?! And maybe he'll get some kisses later on!!!!

Shamma you saw my wedding pictures silly goose. Jennbaby even re-posted them in the last few months. Now you stop that! I know you saw them!

ok, ok, I want more, that's all I am saying. Lidia has a restaurant, I see her on tv cooking all the time. How cool. How was moving out???

Re: My husband outdid himself....

it was fantastic. I loved it - if you ever go see it though - get tickets a little far back. I love seeing the actors up close so I always go for really close seats, and I couldnt' see enough of the effect of all the dancing. The guy who does the piano is OUTRAGEOUS. It's really very good - especially if you like Billy Joel of course, because it helps to know the music.

Becco was AMAZING. She has a really fancy place called Felidia's on the upper East Side. But this one is right on Restaurant Row - VERY affordable for a pre-theatre dinner and get this - EVERY bottle of wine is $20!!!!! Not that we got wine because I can't have any - but for next time it's good to know! Her son is a wine guy and I guess this was his idea. It's really neat because you'll try things you wouldnt' ordinarily try without feeling guilty for spending like $75 on a bottle....The food was great. I highly suggest it to anybody looking for a pre=theatre dinner.

I know girls. We vowed each other that we would go through them today to put together albums for family. Hopefully this will inspire me to scan them and get them up on shutterfly!
