My husband surprised me!!!

As you may have read in some of my posts, my husband is not at all romantic. He wouldn't know romance if it slapped him in the face . After all he proposed, sort of, in a parking lot in front of the Sports Authority store in Bohemia in the middle of the morning. Anyway you get the idea.

Yesterday was our 2nd anniversary and we had decided not to give gifts since we are going away instead. Last night we went out to dinner at the local diner we usually go to. I would have preferred somewhere a little nicer and definately quieter, but this is what he wanted so off we went.

After dinner we were supposed to go to Home Depot (you see what I mean) Home Depot? Romantic? NOT! As we went to turn out of the parking lot he turned the wrong way. Uhhh hello?? Home Depot is the other direction!! He tells me he wants to take a ride down by the water. Okay, fine, whatever. Let's just get the Home Depot thing over with. You have to know I am soooooooooo sick of Home Depot that if I never have to go there again I will be a happy lady!!

So we sit in the parking lot at the marina watching the end of the sunset and my non-romantic hubby starts talking about the day we got married and all the little things that he remembers. I was so surprised. All the little extra touches and certain things we said to each other and our first dance. He hits the button on the CD player and on comes our wedding song!!!!! Of course I start crying and then he lifts up the armrest and pulls out a box....a small white box and hands it to me with a big smile. I look inside and there is a beautiful 3 stone diamond necklace!!!!! . He said he knew how rough this year was for me with being sick and all the home improvement stuff and he wanted me to know just how very much he loves me and how much he wants to have spend the rest of his life with me!!!!!!! I was sobbing!!!!

Anyway... I just wanted to share. I told him that I was so proud of him for surprising me and for being so romantic! He told me to make sure that I posted something good about him!! LOL! Men are so funny!

Ps. dh and I never go to Home Deport together! We can do lowes but not Home Depot!!

Thanks ladies!! I really am so proud of him. It only took 7 years of training!!! He's a little on the slow side! LOL
