My idiot DH....this is longggg

So, DH and I went to Foxwoods this past weekend with my sister and BIL. Well, my sister is completely obsessed with BINGO and I am pretty fond of it myself, so we went to play this intense game of BINGO on Saturday morning. Now, my sister and I are pretty much BINGO experts at this point since we've played at Foxwoods before. But DH and BIL were new to it so they didn't know all the rules. Now - Bingo at Foxwoods is crazy...there are like 3,500 people in this huge room, there are like 30 games of bingo and you play for like 4 hours...crazy. The prizes are like $1,200 for each game and up. People are pretty intense about it...it is very serious, LOL. Anyways, DH doesn't know the rules and we're playing and suddenly he says...'Oh, look, I have one number left!' I look over and I say, 'NO YOU DON'T, THEY ALREADY CALLED 21, CALL BINGO NOW!!!' So he calls BINGO and the person comes over...I am freaking out, we are going to win $1200!!!!!!!! Then my whole world comes crashing down when the lady says, 'Yea, you did have BINGO on the previous number, but since you don't have bingo on the last number called, you don't win.' UGHHH...so since DH was slow in realizing he had bingo we lost out on $1200...which would have paid for our trip plus dinner, plus extra. We were all so mad at him...everyone was staring at DH for being such a complete idiot. Poor thing felt terrible.

I'd be annoyed, but I'd def be more mad at the casino! That sounds really sheisty to me, like they just didn't want to pay out.

Well, they ended up paying out to someone else who had bingo on the next number. It was annoying, but those are the rules and they tell you the rules, but he wasn't listening.

one time when we went..this happened to us..
we loooove to bet on the horses andthe dogs

so we sit down bet a few races and i put a trifecta n on this dog race..two favs and a long shot...it comes out..im freaking out..the payout is just under 1000..so we walk up all happy..she hands me 120 bucks or something.. look at her like she is crazy...they never gave me the trifecta they gave me an exacta for ust the two horses not the longshot..was my own faut for not checking the ticket after they gave it to me

so next time me and ur dh should go gamble on our own then

Oh no!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would totally be beating myself up over that too!


I only played Bingo once and it was at a Knights of Columbus-it was INTENSE!!

Doesn't it suk when you think you are going to get all this money and then reality hits!? I fully had that $1200 spent in my head for the 20 seconds I thought we had it.

Ohhhh that is so frustrating! You should have covered him in bingo marker.

DH did that to me a few weeks ago when he was so excited about winning his fantasy football pool for like $1500... apparently he counted his chickens before they hatched bc the guy he was up against still had one game left and his players did amazing, and DH came in second place!

omg! booo! that STINKS! he must've felt awful! i've played BINGO once and i can't handle it...it's like stimulation overload! ... might just be that i have ADD... i get so stressed out... i'm sorry though! that stinks!

OMG...that happened while we were there. Like 50 ppl won one game. It took like 45 minutes for them to go through all the people. They ended up with $25 each.

O WOW!!! That's a shame.
